About Tyler

I’m a founder, medical illustrator, and systems builder — with roots in both science and print. My work sits at the intersection of publishing, biotechnology, and physical infrastructure. I build tools that move knowledge into the real world — whether that’s in the form of books, software, or sustainable operations.

My background includes degrees in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, and Anatomy & Physiology, alongside formal training in scientific illustration and publishing. Before launching ventures, I worked as a medical illustrator and authored print and digital educational materials.

I’ve founded multiple companies at the edges of science, print, and systems — including Vela Sciences (scientific notebooks & lab tools), American Print & Bindery (a boutique production house for books, packaging, and stationery), and Goodprint (the intelligent infrastructure layer for global print and fulfillment).

I come from a family of printers — my dad ran offset machines in West Michigan, and I grew up around bindery lines and ink drums. That early exposure shaped my respect for physical production, labor, and the craft of making things well.

Across all my work, I care deeply about sustainability, worker rights, and the long-term value of what we make. I'm driven by the belief that well-designed systems — when rooted in science and built with care — can reduce waste, increase dignity, and improve how knowledge moves through the world.

Build systems that outlast trends. Turn data into something you can hold. Make it meaningful — and make it well.

I speak on topics like circular logistics, founder-led operations, sustainable publishing, and the fusion of science with

We build for clarity — not churn • Data becomes ink • Sustainable systems at scale • Tools that teach • Print meets precision • Thoughtful is faster • Code with context • Ops that outlast trends •
